Treatment for Psoriasis and Eczema

Some claim lavender-based
products have healing
properties

Eczema (from the Greek ekzein "to boil out") and dermatitis generally appear as dry or weeping, intensely itchy skin with raised areas that look like small blisters. In severe cases, atopic dermatitis and eczema symptoms may include crusted-over lesions.

Eczema is usually caused by environmental irritants (nickel, detergents, perfumes, hair colorants) or allergies, whereas psoriasis is an autoimmune skin disease with a strong genetic component. Psoriasis (from the Greek psoera "to itch") appears as reddened, rough, raised, and slightly itchy skin covered with silvery, scaly flakes. There is no cure for psoriasis. Common locations are the elbows, hands, feet, and lower back, although some outbreaks include an itchy scalp. Psoriasis can affect the joints and cause arthritis-like symptoms. Eczema affects about 20% of children and 5% of adults in the US and UK. Psoriasis affects about 3% of the adult population of the US and UK and is relatively rare in children. Although there are few different types of psoriasis 90% of all cases are plaque psoriasis. This presents as small, red spots on the skin evolve gradually into larger, irregular patches of reddened, dry skin with a silvery, scaly surface.

Treatments for both conditions often involve steroidal creams such as hydrocortisone and for more severe cases betnovate as well as emollients. Although these are often effective long term use of steroids is not to be recommended as they can thin the skin and impair healing times. Oral steroids such as prednisolone are used in the most severe cases. If the lesions become infected antibiotics such as flucloxacillin can be prescribed.

Be 'Skin Kind'

As you can see treatment of these two conditions is long term and not without the risk of side effects. So it got us wondering if there are other products out there that have been shown to be both safe and effective. The good news is yes there is. We have come across a product that is currently showing amazing results with completely natural ingredients. Skin Kind has been in existence since 1988 and produces a range of products, originally for industry that has many testimonials from many users of how effective it has been in treating their skin condition. The recipe for the success of these products is based around Lavender, long known for its healing qualities, Coconut which many published studies show that it may provide many health benefits, and Micronised pine needles known for its antibacterial and sterilising properties.

This seems to tick all the boxes as it is also very green as less is more in this case making it very economical. What is more you can sample it for free by clicking on the link.
