L'Oreal\VLCC Mens Skincare Dispute Goes to Delhi High Court
A trademark dispute between L’Oreal and wellness firm VLCC over a men’s skincare brand called Fuel has reached the Delhi High Court. An L’Oreal India spokesperson told the Economic Times: “a hearing at the Delhi High Court over the matter."
VLCC reportedly says it acquired the rights to the Fuel brand from businessman Mahesh Chaudhary in 2006 and launched a range of men’s grooming products such as shaving gel, after-shave balm, hair gel and deodorant. The problem is L’Oreal says it acquired the rights from the same entrepreneur. The case is due to come to court in two weeks.
